Gemma Howell Wins Another Award

At the Fighting Films World Cup Championships on Sat & Sunday 22nd & 23rd September at the National Indoor Arena, Gemma Howell won the most improved player of the year award.

This is the second consecutive year that Gemma has won this award and is clearly testament to the hard work and effort that puts into her training.

Senior Training Sessions

Dave Brooks, Kevin O’Reilly and Mark Hazeldine-Potts have recently started to concentrate on rejuvenating the Senior sessions on Wednesday nights. Their efforts seem to be beginning to bear fruit as the numbers are now growing with a regular 14 or more seniors on the mat every Wednesday and Friday. Several of the Senior players who have only been with us for just over 12 months, have recently been successful at the Senior Grading.

Anyone who would like to have a go on Wednesdays is always welcome to come and swell the numbers although that applies to all sessions be they Juniors or Seniors

NEW MATS & FLOOR

One of the latest improvements to the club is the recent installation of a new sprung floor and brand new yellow and blue mats which have made a significant improvement in the appearance of the club.
